David V. Pinkerton
Vice Chairman & President, Lakeside Bank

David is the Vice Chairman and President of Lakeside Bank, and is a member of the Executive Committee. He is a Senior Lending Officer and is focused on business development with an emphasis on business banking and commercial real estate lending.

His career in banking started at Lakeside in 1989 and he's been an integral party of the bank ever since. David holds a BS and MBA from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He is active in various community organizations including Concordia Place, which provides affordable child care and family services to low income families and 3Arts, which offers unrestricted grants to Chicago area artists.

Mentored … and mentoring. That’s Mike Fogarty. Mike’s been a Lakesider since 2014 and is one of our senior commercial loan officers. And he’s quite a unique loan officer. Read on!

Mike knows how important it is for us to look out for one another. Mike was an Evans Scholar. For those who don’t know the Evans Scholar program, it’s quite an honor. Since 1930, the foundation has helped highly deserving young golf caddies with financial need go to college. There are rigorous requirements. Mike won a four-year scholarship to Marquette University, graduating with a BS in Finance in 2004.

At Marquette, Mike had a professor who was also a Senior Lender for Port Washington State Bank in Wisconsin. This professor opened Mike’s eyes to how commercial banking could help people and businesses. Mike also “shadowed” the visiting professor professionally … and Mike’s love of banking was sealed. Mike understands the powerful impact the right banking relationship can have. He’s known for how carefully he evaluates opportunities and builds relationships. It’s Mike’s “emotional intelligence” tempered with financial acumen and a desire to see projects move forward and dreams realized.

Mike began his banking career at Pullman Bank (now US Bank) out of college. He joined Lakeside ten years later in 2014 and has been a Lakesider ever since. He has both credit and origination / relationship management experience.

Mike, his wife Jessica, and daughter Hannah live in the southwest suburbs. And yes, Mike still loves to golf.

Dan Bles
Assistant Vice President, Commercial Lending

Dan Bles was born and raised in Elmhurst and is a proud alumnus of York High School, Class of 2007.

He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Benedictine University, with a BA in Business Management.

Dan’s been a Lakesider since 2016. First, he was key to our retail branch management team and has since grown through the ranks of commercial lending. Prior to joining Lakeside, Dan worked at Suburban Bank & Trust, Hinsdale Bank and Wintrust Mortgage. Dan Knows the area … and Dan Knows both retail & business banking.

Dan’s a recent convert to ice hockey. Over the past six years, he’s joined several adult hockey leagues in and around the western ‘burbs and since 2018 has volunteered with the Chicago Blackhawks Special Hockey organization, helping those with developmental disabilities play hockey. Although he can be fierce on the ice, Dan is an incredibly empathetic guy and a Lakesider we’re very proud of. He’s also known as the “King of Puns” here at Lakeside!
