Dan Welz
Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer

Dan is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Lakeside Bank and is a member of the Executive Committee. In addition to managing Lakeside’s Retail Operations, Dan oversees the bank’s Retail Branch Network, Human Resources, Regulatory Compliance, Project Management Office, Vendor Management and Retail Support Office. Dan has over twenty six years of banking experience, eleven of which was spent at The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Dan earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Valparaiso University and his MBA from Loyola University.

Jackie Kaczmarek
Assistant Branch Manager

We call Jackie our, “Jackie of All Trades” because, well, she can do anything. As the Assistant Branch Manager, she helps clients open checking & savings accounts, CD’s, IRA’s and more. And she’s superb at aiding with account reconciliation so customers know they can always count on her to answer questions. She’s also essential in the day-to-day running of the branch, assisting the teller line with deposits, withdrawals and important reports.

And she’s always extended her “all trades” life philosophy to sports, too. In school she played basketball, volleyball, softball, ran track & field, swam and even kicked the soccer ball. Jackie is still always moving!

Jackie became a Lakesider in 2017. She began at our Michigan Avenue branch, moved to Elmhurst, was promoted and helped open Oakbrook Terrace. She was promoted again and is now back at Elmhurst. Her educational background is in business and finance.

Dan Bles
Assistant Vice President, Commercial Lending

Dan Bles was born and raised in Elmhurst and is a proud alumnus of York High School, Class of 2007.

He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Benedictine University, with a BA in Business Management.

Dan’s been a Lakesider since 2016. First, he was key to our retail branch management team and has since grown through the ranks of commercial lending. Prior to joining Lakeside, Dan worked at Suburban Bank & Trust, Hinsdale Bank and Wintrust Mortgage. Dan Knows the area … and Dan Knows both retail & business banking.

Dan’s a recent convert to ice hockey. Over the past six years, he’s joined several adult hockey leagues in and around the western ‘burbs and since 2018 has volunteered with the Chicago Blackhawks Special Hockey organization, helping those with developmental disabilities play hockey. Although he can be fierce on the ice, Dan is an incredibly empathetic guy and a Lakesider we’re very proud of. He’s also known as the “King of Puns” here at Lakeside!
