Our 15th Annual Concert in the Park was held under sunny skies on Wednesday, July 13 at Women’s Park in the South Loop. And surprisingly for mid-July, it was cool! Especially once the sun went down.

Our neighbors, and a LOT of their children, were out in force EARLY! We had a park full an hour before the start. Fortunately, there was a reptile petting zoo and a drum circle to keep the kids occupied. Along with Lakeside Bank face painting … and our famous Spinning Wheel! There were a lot of fun gifts on the spinning wheel for the kids. And parents, we apologize if one of those gifts, “Slime”, proved to be a mess!

VanderCook College of Music did their usual INCREDIBLE job … there was jazz, marches and classical music. Parents and children alike enjoyed.

We easily had 500 people. Including the small humans.
